I was going to just wait until he was completely done to post but I am having an engineering problem with one of the wings so he will have to dry for another 24 hours. So, since I said I would post these today, I figured I would keep my promise. I made a pedastel for him also which is actually done and possibly a wand with a globe but we shall see. Hopefully, tommorrow evening I can post the final shots...;)

Wow, the skin effect is awesome. I had no idea your wood baby would have wings also. That must have been quite technical! Can't imagine what you will do next that will top this.
ReplyDelete:) Thanx for commenting!!! We shall see!
ReplyDeleteThat is so freakin cool! How did you make the wings stand up like that? Does his head move? You gotta do a video once he's up and running. I can't wait! Like Corliss said, the skin texture is so realistic....who knew?
ReplyDeleteYou should do some fairies or drawfs next....like that old couple you drew? I can just see their wrinkled up little faces!
Lol! Yeah, the gnomes would be kewl with this technique....hmmm? His wings are actually made of a wire skeleton and at the end they had a wire sticking out so I could insert them into the body. I'm finding, however, that they are taking a while to dry thouroughly enuff to STAY standing....which is why it's taking me longer than expected to post final pics...;) I myself am amazed that u can get so much texture from papier mache!!!!
